Our Climate. Our Future.

Today, NextGen Climate America and the Alliance for Climate Education (ACE) are announcing a new partnership to launch an online climate education resource Our Climate. Our Future.

The program will bring the award-winning ACE Assembly on climate science and solutions into classrooms across the country and beyond. Launching in January 2016, Our Climate. Our Future. uses ACE’s signature mix of dynamic animation and interactivity to combine climate science with pop culture entertainment. This vital information and engaging format helps students understand their own importance in addressing climate change, the most urgent issue of our time.

“We’re launching Our Climate. Our Future. to fill a critical gap in climate education, awareness and action across the country.”  – Matt Lappé, Executive Director of ACE

In the last five years, ACE has brought its award-winning, in-person climate education assembly to 2 million high school students at over 2,500 schools across the country. Our Climate. Our Future. will bring ACE’s award winning assembly directly into classrooms with opportunities for student interaction and a choose-your-own-adventure format where teachers can pick locally relevant stories. It will be available in both English and Spanish.

Young Americans are set to play a critical role in the fight for a clean energy future and to make action on climate change a national priority. With the release of Our Climate. Our Future. we hope to reach 1 million high-school aged youth by the end of 2016 and encourage and empower all of them to take action on climate.

We are announcing this partnership today at the Forum on Digital Media for STEM Learning: Climate Education at WGBH in Boston.
