Lowering Barriers to Higher Education by Supporting Student Housing
NextGen is proud to be an active member of the recently-created California Affordable Student Housing (CASH) Coalition. In partnership with student advocates and higher education policy organizations from throughout California, NextGen is supporting efforts to address the rapid growth of housing insecurity among higher education students. Specifically, through the coalition, NextGen is working to protect existing state grant funding for student housing and advocating for improvements to future state student housing funding programs that will focus on the needs of students who are most at-risk of housing instability and homelessness.
