About the Partnership

The fund is a vital part of the Safe and Affordable Funding for Equity and Resilience (SAFER) program and promises $1.4 billion over 10 years for safe drinking water solutions for disadvantaged California communities. Now, CWC is partnering with ally organizations to prevent water shutoffs and ensure that water is affordable for all Californians, especially those 1.6 million households who are drowning $1 billion in water debt.

With partners Miridae, Office of Kat Taylor (OKT), and Insight Garden Program, we’re building Oki Park Farm, a thriving urban garden that will promote environmental learning, produce fresh fruits and vegetables, and provide job training to individuals affected by the criminal justice system.

After recognizing the need for local nonprofits to have their voices heard at the state legislative level, NextGen Policy and the California Association of Nonprofits (CalNonprofits) formed a partnership to hold advocacy workshops across the state.
